Your electricity supplier affects which markets Emaldo can access on your behalf and how much your battery can earn through Grid Rewards in Sweden.
Each supplier works with a Balance Responsible Party (BRP). The market access available through this BRP helps determine whether the supplier has Premium status in Grid Rewards calculator or not. This status can change as market access and technical capabilities evolve.
Find a Premium electricity supplier
Premium suppliers give Emaldo broader access to ancillary services and energy trading markets, creating more opportunities to generate earnings from your battery.

Flexible Grid Rewards earnings vary depending on market conditions. The amounts shown in the calculator are estimates, not guaranteed payouts. You can also show the list of suppliers in our app.
What if my supplier’s status changes?
If you are on the Flexible Grid Rewards programme and your supplier loses Premium status, your earning potential may decrease. To access higher earning potential, we recommend choosing a supplier labelled Premium in our calculator. Check the available options before arranging a switch.
We understand that some customers have already changed supplier based on our recommendations, in some cases more than once. Our recommendations reflect the opportunities available at the time, and we recognise that further changes can be frustrating.
How do I switch electricity supplier?
- Compare suppliers. Open our Grid Rewards calculator and look for suppliers labelled Premium in your electricity region.
- Contact your chosen supplier. They will help you arrange the switch. Check your existing contract’s notice period and any applicable fees.
- Arrange both agreements if you produce electricity. Your electricity consumption agreement and production agreement must be with the same supplier to connect to Grid Rewards. Ask your new supplier to help arrange both.
- Update the Emaldo app. Once your new electricity contract is active, update your supplier details in the app. Read more here.

What happens if I stay with my current supplier?
For Flexible Grid Rewards, you can stay with your current supplier, but your earnings will depend on the market access available through them. A supplier without Premium status offers lower earning potential. Any rewards already earned will still be paid as normal.
Reminder for those who have switched or are planning to switch to Bixia
For those of you who have chosen to switch your electricity supplier to Bixia, we would like to remind you that you need to sign both a consumption agreement and a production agreement at the same time.
To connect to Grid Rewards, both your electricity supply agreement and production agreement must be with the same electricity supplier. Bixia can help you arrange this directly through their customer service team.
