What’s New
This release fixes various bugs and contains some important feature improvements
-
Improved charging and discharging behaviour for Guaranteed Grid Rewards contracts
We fixed an issue that could cause the battery to repeatedly charge and discharge around the Grid Rewards limit This caused unnecessary “up and down” charging/discharging behaviour (the sawtooth pattern). The system now stops charging/discharging when it hits the limit, so the battery level stays steadier.
Once the battery reaches the upper limit, the system will stop charging from PV even if solar output remains high. The excess will be used for the house hold load or exported dependant on your settings and the AI strategy
-
Removes cap on EV charging for customers with Guaranteed contracts during a grid balancing activation period
When you’re on a Guaranteed grid rewards contract and Grid balancing is inactive , we no longer cap the power available to your EV charger**.** When a grid balancing activation occurs, Grid Balancing takes priority and the EV charger will stop charging the car.
When a grid balancing activation ends, your EV charger will automatically resume charging (as long as the usual charging conditions are met):
- Scheduled charging: charging resumes if the current time matches your scheduled charging window.
- Smart charging: charging resumes once your price/charging conditions are met.
- Instant charging: charging resumes automatically.
Please note. A grid balancing activation is when the battery is being used to balance the grid. It will either charge or discharge depending on what the grid needs.
