| This article will guide you stepby-step on signing up for the Emaldo® Grid Rewards program and how to decide if you want to sign up for the Flexible Grid Rewards or the Guaranteed Grid Rewards scheme. |
| 💡 When you open the Emaldo® app the first time after the app update introducing the Guaranteed Grid Rewards on January 7th 2026, you will be met by a one-time pop-up giving you the option to sign up to Flexible or Guaranteed Grid Rewards. However, you can safely disregard this, if you’re not quite ready and sign up any time. |

⚠️ Before you begin the signup process, it is important that

- On the home screen, tap the Grid Rewards card to start the signup process.
- Read the information, scroll to the bottom of the page and tap the Signup button.
- Select if you are signing up as a Company or Organization, or as an Individual.

Signup for the Flexible Grid Rewards

💡 Flexible Grid Rewards offers market based variable payouts.
With this option, your earnings will be based on your actual
participation in the grid balancing services available through
your electrical supplier in your area and cannot be guaranteed. Even when signing up for the Flexible Grid Rewards option, you might experience static payouts in some countries and energy areas. This is because we compensate you for participating, even in areas where we are not actively balancing the grid just yet. These static payouts will automatically turn into variable market-based payouts, when we go live with active grid balancing in your area. While receiving static payouts, you might experience activity from your system, as testing might be done to ensure your system is ready to go live. |
- Make sure to select Flexible Grid Rewards in the top of the screen and tap the Proceed to Sign Up button in the bottom of the screen.
| 💡 In order for your system to participate in grid balancing and earn you money each month, the AI will have to be activated. Later you can set the participation hours you are comfortable with. This screen is simply here to let you know that AI mode will be activated on your system if you continue. |
- Tap Continue.
- Now your system will automatically check and verify that everything in order. Tap Next when the verification process is done.
- Fill in your full name and email address and tap Next to continue.
- Fill in your street address, postal code, city and select your country and electricity area.
- Tap Electricity Supplier to open a list of available electricity suppliers in your area.
- Now, either use the search bar to search for the electrical supplier you are currently buying your electricity from or scroll down the alphabetically sorted list.

💡 Next to some of the suppliers you will find a [Premium]
tag. This tag indicates that we can provide a wider range
of balancing services through these suppliers, increasing
the earnings potential. If you are currently not buying your electricity from a tagged supplier, you can choose to skip the signup process at this stage, change your electricity supplier to one listed with the [Premium] tag and signup once you are a confirmed customer at such supplier. Naturally, you can also choose to continue signing up, with any supplier in the list. However, signing up with an un-tagged supplier might result in lesser payouts. Visit the Emaldo® Grid Rewards webpage to calculate estimated payouts with your selected electricity supplier. |
| ⚠️ If you select supplier, that you are not a registered customer with, this may affect your contract and payouts at a later stage – please take care to select the correct supplier, or cancel this process and come back if you plan to switch suppliers. |
- If you have selected a non-tagged supplier you will be notified about this might result in lesser payouts.
- Tap Switch to Earn More to cancel the signup process and continue with the registration after you have switched to a [Premium] tagged supplier or tap Continue to continue the signup process with your currently selected supplier.
- Enter the bank account you would like to have your Emaldo® Grid Rewards payouts deposited to every month and tap Next to continue.

is different

IBAN in your bank’s mobile app, your bank statements, in
your

- Review and confirm that you agree to enroll your system into the Emaldo® Grid Rewards program. If you have more than one system registered to your app, all will be displayed in this screen and enrolled to the program.
- Tap Next to continue.
- Last step is to read through the Power of Attorney, which is the agreement that allows us to use your system for grid balancing and ean you passive income.
- Tap Agree and Sign.
- Turn your mobile phone horizontally and use your finger to sign, then tap Save.
- Tap Agree and Confirm to finalize your enrollment in the Emaldo® Grid Rewards program.
- Because you are signing up for the Flexible Grid Rewards, you now have the option to set when you would like your system to participate in grid balancing sessions.

to participate in grid balancing sessions. You can set your participation hours exactly as you like, however we recommend you to allow your system to participate around the clock, as limiting participation hours will also limit your earnings potential. |
- Tap
to set your participation hours.
- Set a start and a end time or toggle on All day to allow your system to participate 24 hours a day (Recommended).
- Under Repeat, you can select which days of the week you want to participate. We recommend you to leave this on Everyday for maximal earnings potential.
- Tap Confirm to save your settings.
- When you are done setting your participation hours, tap Next.
- Congratulations, you are now successfully enrolled in the Emaldo® Grid Rewards program and ready to start helping the green transition, by balancing the electricity grid, all while earning passive income.
- Tap Done to close the window.
Signup for Guaranteed Grid Rewards

💡 Guaranteed Grid Rewards offers a fixed guaranteed amount
paid out directly to your account every single month for
3 years. With this option you will be completely shielded
from market volatility and know exactly how much you will
earn during the next 36 months. After the 36th month, you can choose to sign up for a new 3-year guaranteed period, based on the amount available at that time or you can choose to switch to the Flexible Grid Rewards option, if you prefer. ⚠️ Important to know: When signing up for the Guaranteed Grid Rewards plan, you can request to terminate the Guaranteed Grid Rewards plan after an initial period of 3 months. Once you request termination, the process takes three months to complete. |
- Make sure to select Guaranteed Grid Rewards in the top of the screen and tap the Proceed to Sign Up button in the bottom of the screen.

Overview of your Grid Rewards earnings
Once you have successfully signed up to either the Flexible or Guaranteed Grid Rewards, a new widget will be displayed on the home screen of the app.
This will display your earnings at a glance. Tapping the widget will allow you to see realized historical income and even estimated future earnings on a day to day level.
| 💡 If the new Grid Rewards widget does not automatically appear on the home screen after signup, you can easily "force" it to appear by either closing down the app and re-opening it or by manually adding the widget by tapping the pencil icon at the bottom of the home screen. |
