⚠️ This guide will teach you how to re-connect the inverter in an Emaldo® Power Core system. For your safety, it is important that you follow this step-by-step guide methodically.
Remove the cable cover
Facing the Emaldo® Power Core, you will find the cable cover on the right hand side of the system.
Unscrew the two screws holding the cover over the cables. You’ll need a Torx 10 screwdriver. This step provides access to the cables so the inverter can be removed properly.
Disconnect the cables
⚠️ Important: Before disconnecting the cables, we highly recommend you to mark each cable, either with a piece of tape or a marker, in order to avoid switching the cables by mistake when re-connecting them later. Wrongly connected cables can pose a safety risk and cause damage to the system.
Now, disconnect all cables from the inverter.
Confirm all cables are disconnected
Check that all cables have been disconnected from the system. The image shows how it should look when all cables are properly disconnected.
The inverter can now be removed from the cabinet.
Removing the cabinet door
Unscrew the screws in the corners of the door to remove the cabinet front. You will find two screws in the side of each corner of the cabinet door. Use a Torx 10 here as well. This allows access to the inverter itself.
Unlock the inverter
The inverter is locked into place by two turn-locks, one in each side of the inverter. Turn the two locks to release the inverter from the cabinet.
Pull out the inverter
Pull the handles on the inverter to release it from the cabinet. The distance shown in the picture indicates how far it needs to be pulled out.
⚠️ Important: You do not need to completely pull out the inverter from the cabinet. Just enough for the inverter to disconnect it’s SlideON™ connectors on it’s back. The inverter is heavy, handle it with care.
Wait and reconnect
Now, wait for 30 seconds before reconnecting the inverter. You do this by firmly pushing the inverter back into place in the cabinet. Apply a single controlled and firm push to ensure it connects properly.
Finish up
Now that the inverter is reconnected it is time to finish up. Do this by locking in the inverter with the two turn-locks, securing the cabinet door, reconnecting the cable to the side of the system and finally securing the cable cover by screwing in the screws again.
