Every day, the Emaldo® AI calculates a forecast for the amount of energy you will use (household load) and the amount of energy you will generate (from PV). This data is then overlaid against the energy price for that day. This is the same as all other battery systems on the market. Like all modern battery designs, Emaldo’s system consists of cells, connectors, and a battery management system that ensures safe and reliable operation.
What differentiates the Emaldo® solution is that, if you are signed up to Grid Rewards, the AI takes into consideration any grid balancing events that may be taking place.
All of these intelligent calculations are done through Emaldo® AI and are cloud-based.
The output of that calculation is a suggested schedule that is then sent to your Emaldo® system to follow, which can be viewed in the app. However, forecasts are never 100% accurate, and so your Emaldo® system continuously communicates real-time data with our Cloud-based platform to provide the household load, PV generation, and current state of charge so that the schedule can be recalculated and optimised.
This calculation is extremely complex and is constantly improving, as both the AI technology that we use, and the data we receive from your unit enables us to make better decisions.
