Guaranteed Grid Rewards is available for eligible new Emaldo installations, with updated guaranteed payout levels.
If you have a new Emaldo system installed and commissioned, you may be eligible to opt in to Guaranteed Grid Rewards and receive a fixed monthly payout for 36 months.
To qualify for Guaranteed Grid Rewards, your system must be a new installation consisting of one Emaldo unit with at least three 5.12 kWh batteries.
Adding batteries or capacity to an existing system does not make the system eligible for Guaranteed Grid Rewards. For example, if you already have an operating system with two batteries and upgrade it to three, you will not become eligible for the programme.
Who can join?
To qualify, you need a newly installed Emaldo system with at least three 5.12 kWh batteries. You must apply within 30 days of your system being commissioned. Adding batteries or additional capacity to an existing system does not count as a new installation.
How to apply

When do I start earning?
When you sign up for Guaranteed Grid Rewards, your system must first complete a full three month qualification period. This is required so that Emaldo can demonstrate to the grid operator that the promised capacity is available and can be provided.
After the three month qualification period:
- You start earning Grid Rewards on the first day of the fourth full month.
- Your earnings will then become visible in the Emaldo app.
- Your Grid Rewards are paid to your chosen bank account on the 24th of the following month, or the next business day.
- Please allow up to five banking days for the payment to appear in your account.
Example
If you register for Grid Rewards on 8 September:
- October, November and December are your three full qualification months.
- You start earning Grid Rewards on 1 January.
- Your January earnings are paid on 24 February, or the next business day.
- It can take up to five banking days for the payment to appear in your account.
You can read more about the payout timeline in our support article.
Guaranteed or Flexible Grid Rewards?
With Guaranteed Grid Rewards, you know your payout level in advance. Grid Rewards related limitations apply to the system to ensure the agreed capacity is available for Grid Balancing.
With Flexible Grid Rewards, earnings follow the energy market and can change as market opportunities develop. And there are also no Grid Rewards related limitations applied to your inverter, battery capacity, EV charger or solar production. Normal battery management limitations still apply.
