Our Grid Rewards schemes offer customers something highly unique in the residential battery storage market: the ability to join an expanding community of systems which together help to balance the electricity grid, supporting the growth in intermittent renewable energy and get paid for doing so.
Your system, your choice
We think Grid Rewards is a great offer, but of course it might not be for you. If that’s the case, that’s ok, the Emaldo system is a powerful solution which can operate as a basic battery system if you desire, helping you to reduce your energy consumption and maximise your use of self-generated solar power.
You can run your battery in both AI Mode and Schedule Mode, without signing up for Grid Rewards. In AI Mode, the solution aims to make the best decisions possible to maximise any PV you generate and reduce your bills by discharging the battery when the price of electricity is high. In Schedule Mode you are able to create your own schedule to tell your system when to charge and discharge.
Being an Emaldo customer does not mandate you participating in grid balancing, so if you choose Schedule Mode we will not offer your system up to the grid operators for balancing under any circumstances.
What if you change you mind?
There is no rush, you can sign-up to Grid Rewards at any point. If you sign-up your system will switch to AI mode, and give you the choice between the Flexible and Guarantee Grid Rewards schemes.
Once you have signed up to a Grid Reward scheme will we enrol your device and your system will start to participate in grid balancing activities. The revenue you generate from this will be shown in your app.
