With the Emaldo® system you have the option to sell excess electricity back to the public grid for a profit.
In periods where you produce more solar energy that you can use yourself, this option lets you turn a profit completely automatic, while ensuring the electricity you produce on your rooftop does not go to waste.
The system will automatically determine when and how much electricity to sell back to the grid, as well as when to do this for maximum profit. This is done based on your household’s consumption and supply, as well as the strategies set for your system.
In order to start selling your excess electricity back to the grid, there are a few things that needs to be in place first. These are:
- Your Emaldo® system must be connected to the public electricity grid trough the Grid Port. This will normally be done by the installer during the initial installation of your system.
- A two-way meter must be installed, as this will be used to validate the how much electricity is bought and sold, allowing you to get compensated correctly.
- An electricity selling agreement must be entered with your electricity supplier.
Once the above prerequisites are in place, you can enable sell back to grid by tapping the 3 dots map in the top right corner of the System Dashboard, then tap Energy settings then swipe right to enable the Sell back to grid feature.
Please note that compensation for selling your excess electricity back to the grid, will be handled by your electricity supplier, in accordance with the agreement you enter prior to enabling the feature on your Emaldo® system.
