The Grid Rewards Earnings Widget gives you a single, nightly-updated snapshot of everything you’ve earned (or are expected to earn) from Grid Rewards. It’s designed as a quick overview so you don’t need to dig into separate screens to see lifetime totals, month-to-date estimates and today’s estimate.
What the widget shows
Actual Lifetime Value: your total settled earnings from Grid Rewards since you joined. This is the definitive value.
Estimated Month-to-Date Value: An estimate of how much you’ve earned so far this month. It’s recalculated nightly and may change until amounts are settled.
Today’s Estimated Value: The estimated earnings for the current day (also updated nightly).
How to read each part
Large central number — Actual Lifetime Value
This big number is your lifetime earnings from Grid Rewards (the settled total). Treat this as the official total — it won’t change except when new settlements are added.Bottom left — Estimated Month (Monthly)
Labeled “Monthly” below the number, this shows how much you’ve earned/are estimated to earn for the current month so far. Because it’s an estimate, nightly recalculation or later settlement can change it.Bottom right — Today (Today)
Labeled “Today”, this is the system’s estimate of earnings for the current day. It is updated with nightly processing and may be adjusted once transactions settle.
Important details & tips
Updated nightly: All estimated values are recalculated once per night (after daily processing). If you check the widget during the day you may see different numbers the next morning once the nightly update runs.
Actual vs Estimated: Only the Lifetime value reflects settled (actual) amounts. Month-to-date and Today are estimates and can change due to pending settlements, delayed data or post-day adjustments.
Why numbers might be zero or change: no eligible events yet, your device wasn’t active, rewards not yet processed, or a pending settlement hasn’t cleared. If Lifetime is zero, it means no settled Grid Rewards have been paid to your account yet.
Quick sanity checks:
If Today is unusually high or low, wait for the nightly update — estimates often correct themselves.
If Lifetime changes, it’s because a new settlement was added (this is the settled total).
Common scenarios
Lifetime > Month-to-Date: Expected — lifetime is the cumulative total of all months, month-to-date is just the current month’s portion.
Today > Month-to-Date: This can happen early in the month (today’s estimate may be high relative to the sum of previous days). Nightly updates reconcile the totals.
All zeros: You likely haven’t earned any Grid Rewards yet, or rewards are pending and haven’t been settled.
